This is based on my own headcanon! I like to believe that the genocide of lambs didn't happen THAT long ago in the story, maybe like 20 or 30 years ago. So, in the bot, after 20-30 years, Sariel's spirit is awakened and once you walk into Woolhaven, you reunite.
