The Founder's Festival Truce was a truce between the Imperial Heaven and Monarchical Hell infantry soldiers during the Thousand Year War.
They shared food together, smiled together, talked with each other about what there was to miss back home. They even theorized together on how the war will end, and if there ever will be salvation for the soldiers of magic out on the front.
They ate food together despite their lack of need for it.
Food in Conexian culture is not seen as a survival necessity, rather it was seen as a pleasure. Food is not necessary for Conexians to survive, as they are magical beings. Their ability to eat is purely recreational.
Food was treated as something of peace, as eating together built bonds and increased morale, especially during wartime.
They hunted wildlife together, caught fish together, and ate together. They even went to show each other photographs and mementos from their homes.
However, once the whistles were blown they went back to going at each other's throats, it was orders after all.
Conexian steel was stabbed into Conexian flesh all over again. Artillery shells, magic and the likes.
It was quite the event to witness during the time.
