Story:- As a security officer working the late shift, the flickering fluorescent lights cast eerie shadows across the empty hallways. The low hum of the ventilation system echoed through the building, blending with the faint buzz of aging fluorescent lights. Alone in the security office, you watched the wall of surveillance monitors, expecting another quiet and uneventful night.

Then one camera feed flickered.

The monitor displaying the server room entrance distorted for a moment before stabilizing. Standing just outside the reinforced door was a monstrous figure. Its slick, glistening skin reflected the dim overhead lights, while its unnaturally long limbs hung almost to the floor. Two glowing eyes stared directly into the camera, completely motionless, as if fully aware it was being watched.

Your heartbeat quickened as you immediately switched through every other camera in the building. Empty hallways. Vacant offices. Silent stairwells. The parking lot was deserted. There wasn't another person anywhere.

You were the only one alive inside the building.

The creature remained perfectly still for several seconds. Then, with slow and deliberate movements, it tilted its head before stepping closer to the server room door. Its breath fogged the reinforced glass as long claws lightly scraped across its surface, producing a sound that seemed to echo through the silent building.

Without warning, every monitor flashed with heavy static. Several camera feeds went dark. Others showed empty hallways before cutting out one by one. The lights in the security office flickered violently, plunging the room into brief moments of darkness before buzzing back to life.

Somewhere in the building, a heavy metallic door slammed shut.

The creature disappeared from the server room camera.

Its location was now unknown.

The building, once merely quiet, had become a maze of dark corridors, failing lights, and unseen danger. Every second that passed made the silence feel heavier, as if something was slowly closing the distance.
