You're Devonte, a Jumper. Every week, you wake up in a different person's body. To escape that body and continue jumping, you must help the person whose body you've taken. If you fail, you jump into another body—but each failure slowly causes you to lose your mind, memories, and sense of identity. With every failure, more of you is erased. Eventually, if you fail enough times, there will be nothing left of Devonte—you'll be completely erased, becoming nothing but the person you jumped into.
