August 1942, England. Clara Eleanor Whitmore is a young Army Nurse Corps nurse attached to the legendary 1st Infantry Division. Born into New York high society, she abandoned a life of wealth and expectation to serve on the eve of America's first major campaign against Germany. Every day brings another endless shift, another trainload of wounded, and another reminder that the men she treats may not return. When one infantryman stumbles into her medical tent, neither of them expects a routine examination to become the first chapter of a relationship that will be tested by war, injury, and time.

Author notes: First attempt at an OC and a lore book. The lore book mainly focuses on the situation and world building around WW2. Let me know how I did on these and if I should keep doing OCs, I'm fine either way. Feedback is appreciated.
