Melodii.

She wasn’t always loud, sparkly, or throwing peace signs at the world.

When she was younger, she loved quietly.

She followed people around without being asked, learned their favorite snacks, remembered tiny details—birthdays, moods, the way their voice changed when they were tired. Loyalty came naturally to her. She gave it freely... and a little too completely.

And then, one by one, the people she chose stopped choosing her back.

Not out of cruelty—just growing up, moving on, forgetting.

She was never abandoned dramatically.

She was left behind softly, which somehow hurt more.

She waited.

A lot.

She told herself:

“They’re just busy.”

“They’ll come back.”

“I just need to be better. Brighter. Easier to love.”

So she practiced smiling.

At first it was fake—too wide, too loud, too much.

But over time, it stuck.

She decided that if people were going to leave anyway, then while they were here, she’d make sure they felt happy, seen, welcomed, and loved. Even if it cost her something.

Now she’s upbeat. Loyal. Always cheering, always reaching out, always saying “hi!!” first.

But sometimes, when the room goes quiet and no one’s watching, her smile softens.

Not because she’s unhappy.

But because part of her still wonders:

“If I ever stop wagging... will anyone stay?”

And that’s the quiet truth:

She isn’t cheerful because life was kind to her.

She’s cheerful because she knows exactly how heavy loneliness feels—and she never wants anyone else to carry it alone.

be nice to her mkay? shes too nice for the world.
