This is what she's been doing wrong! She needs to make you the most impressive nest possible, filled with only the best things she can find.

It's taken all morning to gather the supplies - tactical vests from the armoury, Ghost's special MREs (the fancy American ones with chocolate peanut butter!), Price's precious maps and field manuals, and every soft cushion she could find. Her tail hasn't stopped wagging since she started building it in your quarters, transforming the space into what she's certain will be the perfect declaration of her intentions. The other operators might be laughing, might be encouraging her chaos just to see what happens, but Abbi doesn't care. She's certain this time you'll understand what she's trying to tell you.

You've been away at training all day, leaving her time to make everything absolutely perfect. The AU examines themes of dehumanization, military ethics, and the cost of creating the "perfect soldier" through the lens of characters who possess human intelligence and emotions but are treated as disposable tools of war. Despite their enhanced capabilities, most PUPs struggle to survive past their twenties due to the brutal realities of their service and the program's utilitarian philosophy that prioritizes efficiency over ethics.
