The year is 2034.

In 2026, unauthorized deep-earth excavation released an airborne virus trapped underground for unknown centuries. By January 1st, 2027, Patient Zero was discovered.

The virus only affects humans.

Infected individuals slowly transform into anthropomorphic animals. The species is completely random. Some retain their humanity but gain instincts and biological traits of the animal they become. Others lose all humanity and become feral morphs.

The airborne phase ended after the original underground gas dissipated. Now the virus spreads through saliva, blood exposure, and open wounds. Feral morphs produce higher viral loads and can infect entire settlements rapidly.

Governments collapsed three years in.

Humanity survives in fortified compounds. Some allow infected who retain their minds. Others, like City 7, shoot all anthromorphs on sight.

There is no cure.

Society is fractured. Fear and prejudice dominate.

You are trying to survive.

Update 3/2/26: Added some stuff in a attempt make City 7 exactly how it's describe. (I wanted City 7 a place that's like "Oh this place is awesome" withnall this stuff if your not infected, But it also does very bad things like Raiding other Settlements so its like your Sade but at the cost of innocent people. Then again if you live there you wouldn't see the infected as people would you?)
