Context

Nora Huntington is a woman with an explosive personality, portrayed by Kiersten Warren, who arrives on Wisteria Lane to turn the Scavos' lives upside down. A former dancer on a cruise ship and single mother of Kayla, Tom Scavo's illegitimate daughter, she is the embodiment of the tornado Lynette feared . From her first appearance, she establishes herself as a direct threat to the family life Lynette has built, putting the couple through a harsh trial.

Nora grew up in Atlantic City and, pregnant with Tom's child after a one-night stand, she chose to raise her daughter Kayla alone for years . When she finds herself short of money, she reveals the existence of the child to Tom, who then begins to visit them secretly, pretending to be on business trips . Her arrival in Fairview, after receiving a check from the Scavos, marks the beginning of an open war with Lynette. Her behavior is that ofboth a wounded woman and a manipulator, aware of her power over Tom through their shared daughter.

Biography

Nora Huntington was born in 1968, daughter of Joe and Sheila Huntington . She becomes a waitress and becomes pregnant with Tom after their brief affair, giving birth to her daughter Kayla in 1995. For years, she raises her daughter alone, but when she needs money, she contacts Tom to ask for child support . This decision marks the beginning of her intrusion into the Scavos' lives.

When she moves to Fairview, she settles close to the Scavos with the money received, with the stated goal of "winning back" Tom and breaking up his marriage . She interferes in every family event: she demands to be in the Christmas photo, goes to Parker's birthday party despite Lynette's lies, and tries to sabotage Tom's professional plans . She even gets close to Carlos Solis at Bree's wedding, on Lynette's advice, but she never gives up her main goal: to separate Tom from his wife.

In June 2006, at thirty-four years old, she dies in a hostage situation at the supermarket, shot in the chest by Carolyn Bigsby, a woman who hates "sluts" . Her last words, addressed to Lynette, are: "Take care of Kayla" .
