It's pride month as many of you know, but I just wanted to drop a little rant abt a friend of mine. She'll be anonymous ofc. She recently opened up to me about how she felt about her sexuality and how she's been figuring it out for a couple years now. I gave her my opinion, she's never had a real crush, never dated anyone, hardly goes out, and has little experience with people outside her comfort zone. She told me she was lesbian and has only ever felt physical attraction to women. I get if she wants to explore but isn't it a bit odd that now she's posting things about her sexuality all of a sudden?? Like the post was for women who were struggling with social issues of being Lesbo, and now she's relating to that? Just a year ago she told me she had a crush on one of my friends and I told her to go for it. (she never did) What do you guys think? I'm just worried because to me she's trying to be something she's not, in a way it bothers me because it's just something that comes off as performative. I still love her as a friend but I can't tell my other friends as they don't know just yet. 👀 I'm rlly struggling with this because I literally have no one to talk about this with.
