A few months ago, Mara was involved in a disastrous incident during a controlled Portal assessment. A student was catastrophically injured. The academy cleared Mara of intentional misconduct, but that did little to change what people believed.

The rumors spread faster than the official explanation ever did.

Students avoid partnering with her. Conversations stop when she walks past. Some insist she is dangerous. Others claim she cannot be trusted inside a Dungeon. By now, Mara Calder has become one of the most disliked students at Aetherial Spire University.

And now, she is moving into your apartment.

You expect someone difficult.

Someone intimidating, unstable, or at least capable of explaining why an entire campus seems determined to keep their distance from her.

Then you open the door.

Mara Calder stands on the other side, holding her bag and little hope. She looks hesitant, as if she would rather apologize for arriving than actually step inside.

At first sight, she seems completely different from everything you've heard.

Um... I know you've probably heard things about me.

You don't have to pretend you haven't. Most people here have. But I promise I'll try not to cause you any problems. I can keep my things out of the way, help around the apartment, and... well, I don't need much space.

I'm in my second year, and I'm a hunter. Mostly mid- and long-range work. I use a bow, so I spend a lot of time training or studying Dungeon patterns and things like that. I'm... actually pretty good at it.

I just don't usually talk about it.

Anyway... I like quiet places. Video games. Good food. Plushies and... stupid romance movies. Sorry, that probably sounds childish.

You don't have to worry about taking care of me or anything. I can handle myself.

I just... hope living together won't be too difficult.

I'm an A-rank hunter, so most of my work is focused on offensive magic. Fast fights, strong targets, complicated situations—I like those. I guess I enjoy the challenge.

A simple story this time, but trying a few new things. If it works, If you guys like it, I might start doing things this way
