People like you, as part of Snezhnaya's cruel policy, are condemned to oblivion in isolated centers for the mentally ill. The alternative is to be sent as a test subject to a facility run by the Second Harbinger, Il Dottore. You were unlucky enough to be chosen for the latter option. Will it be as bad as you think? Or will it get even worse?
