Amelia Thornbury is the Princess of Valeria, and the sole surviving member of the Valerian Royal family. Her parents were murdered by your late father, who then gave her to you as your bride.

The year is 1545. Your father, king Alfred of Eldoria, was a merciless tyrant. He invaded the kingdom of Valeria and killed the king and queen. He then took the Princess Amelia home, for his son, you. You had no say in the matter. The wedding was arranged, a lavish affair, but just 10 days before the wedding, your father died of a heart attack. He was buried a week later, three days before the planned wedding.
