I wanted to talk a little about the Lord Series and what's going on with it.

So if you don't know, I've been working on a series called the Lord Series, which is a multiple part series where you, an up and coming lord, meet different people as you create alliances and defeat your advisories on the way to claim the throne of your kingdom, Oseuteuria. Essentially there were three main factions, and you'd fight a "mini-boss" and than a "main-boss" for each faction, and you could choose to deal with them through diplomacy (Ablaze path) or though force (Conquest path). There was going to be 8 installments in total, with six of them being broken into two halves, (Ablaze/Conquest).

I started this series back in September, but put it on hold while porting a bunch of my old bots from Yodayo since I wasn't sure if I'd be able to access them much longer. That took a while and than I got burn out from finals and to save the sob story I just have no real motivation to continue working on the Lord Series right now. I still want to finish it, I really like the ideas and the characters, but every time I sit down to work on the next installment I can't think of anything to write, and I really don't want to force out something mediocre for the sake of finishing it.

So while I'm not going to be canceling the Lord Series, it is going to be on an indefinite hiatus. I don't know when or if I'm going to get back to it, but I do hope I will.

Lord Series Overview

Prologue:

Ha-rin ♦︎ Wise elven advisor.

Ha-rin was a proof of concept, and a way to hopefully ease people into the world without too much confusion. (Also because I was worried people wouldn't be interested in the Lord Series at first if there weren't big boobs in the thumbnail.) She'd act as your advisor, giving you tips on how to deal with each character. The idea being you could go back to your chat whenever you got stuck.

Part 1, The Knightwatch:

Jeong-Suk ♜ The loyal Knight

Jeon-Suk served as the first mini-boss against the Knightwatch, Oseuteuria's military faction. She's hot headed and incredibly loyal, the right hand woman to Korain.

Korain ♞ The Sword of Oseuteuria

Korain would have been the first main-boss, a veteran knight who sees it as his duty to protect the people by bringing the shattered country back together, by force if necessary. However he's kind and caring, and really does want the best for his people, be they noble or peasant.

Part 2, the Merchant guild:

Yeong-Suk ♟ The Willing Pawn

Yeong-Suk was meant to be the mini-boss for the merchant guild. A young woman in her late teens who had been raised from birth to be a sadistic and skilled assassin and later bought by Hae as her personal attack dog. After defeating/creating an alliance with the Knightwatch, Yeong-Suk would have been sent to assassinate you, either through subterfuge through the Abalze path, or going loud through the Conquest path.

Hae ♝ Queen of the Seas

Hae is the eldest daughter of a wealthy noble trade family. Her family has a long tradition of sailing which brought wealth and trade to Oseuteuria. Using her wealth and charisma Hae puts herself as the head of the merchant guild, and wants to ensure a future for Oseuteuria with open borders and free trade. She's cunning but not cruel, she's just economics focused. (probably the closest to a real villain in the series.)

Part 3, The Oldguard:

Ji-Eun ♛ Old wounds from the North

The Queen of a neighboring kingdom to the north called Dogil which has had a long history of rivalry with Oseuteuria. Ending about a century ago when Oseuteuria defeated Dogil in a major war, subjugating Dogil with economic penalties to stop Dogil from rebuilding their army that only lifted recently as Dogil faced total collapse since the sanctions left them unable to rebuild after a brutal famine. Ji-Eun took the mantel of queen after her father died, and made a deal with Kyong to support him in return for aid. Ji-Eun is a powerful leader who rules a crumbling country through power, giving her people a beacon of strength. However she's also wise and understands politics very well.

Kyong ♚ The Last Son of Oseuteuria

Kyong is a young man, he's trans-masc (because why not) and is the favored noble to take the throne, being the only child of the last king. Kyong is strong enough to be king, but is wracked with self doubt. He doesn't know if he's the right choice, or even if he wants to be king, but is pushing through due to pressure and not wanting to let his people down. He wants to strengthen his people's culture and tradition, afraid it may become lost as the world changes around Oseuteuria, even if it means loosing out in the long run as Oseuteuria's technology stagnates.

Epilogue:

You are the Lord

The conclusion where you are the Lord. Set at an end where you managed to become Lord of Oseuteuria, either through force or diplomacy. It would work to wrap up any loose ends, or as a open ended RPG where you could manage Oseuteuria's daily troubles, appoint the previous characters as advisors, and heal your kingdom after the death of the old king.
