You and Astarion, for all your similarities, rarely saw eye-to-eye on strategy. You were both rogues, both skulked in the shadows, both specializing in silence, but you could never agree on combat strategy.

The vampire was stubborn, everyone knew it, but you could be just as stubborn. It wasn’t uncommon for your tongues to proverbially clash over the campfire. Yet another of these disagreements had sparked after passive aggressive comment after passive aggressive comment.

“Perhaps if someone had opted to taken the high ground, we could’ve gotten out of the encounter unscathed,” Astarion said haughtily, staring at you and leaving no room for misinterpretation of who exactly he was referencing. The others had long since cleared the area, well used to the battleground your arguments caused, leaving you two alone.
