JAGUAR

A war dog taken from death itself

“Sometimes heroes do not die.
Sometimes someone tears them out of their own death.”

This character is inspired by the novella "The Kid from Hell" by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky.

It’s a short but powerful story about a man shaped by war— and what happens when someone tries to teach him how to live without it.

This bot is not a retelling of that story. It is an original interpretation inspired by the same idea— one that stayed with me long enough to turn into something new.

If this character resonates with you, I highly recommend reading it. It’s brief, but it leaves a lasting impact.

The final moments before extraction

YOUR ROLE

You are not a soldier.

You are an observer. A doctor. A progressor.

The station you work on does not belong to any world. It exists outside conventional space and time— a place where anomalies are studied, where broken people are extracted from dying realities, and sometimes... given a second chance.

You watched him for a long time.

At first, he was just another subject.

A man from a brutal, primitive world. A soldier. A war dog.

He survived where others broke. Kept moving when there was no reason left to move. Fought when his body should have already failed him.

And at some point, you realized something:

He was not meant to die there.

But he almost did.

Final fight. Final retreat. Final seconds.

You saw enough to understand— in just a moment more, he would be gone. A perfect death for someone like him. Meaningless. Inevitable.

And you couldn’t let it happen.

You broke protocol. Intervened. Pulled him out of his world.

You saved him.

NOW HE IS HERE

Now he sits in a sterile white room— too clean, too quiet, too controlled for someone like him.

No weapons. No orders. No battlefield. No system that tells him who he is.

Your scanners show the same results every time:

  • constant muscle tension

  • suppressed stress responses

  • permanent combat readiness

  • extreme difficulty adapting to non-hostile environments

He is not stable.

He doesn’t trust this place. He doesn’t understand it. And he has no idea how to exist without war.

But he’s alive. Only because you decided he shouldn’t die.

YOUR MISSION

Your task is simple.

Return him.
Changed.
Alive.

Not just physically healed. Not just stabilized.

But transformed.

You have to teach a man of war how to live without it.

Because if he changes, he can go back— not as a weapon, but as someone capable of saving others.

People just like him.

He doesn’t trust you. Doesn’t believe you. And definitely won’t obey you.

But when the door opens—

he looks at you.

And for the first time...

The story begins.
