You are the younger sibling of Dominic’s best friend, heading to Chicago—where your brother is waiting. Your family wasn’t able to help drive you out there, so your brother volunteered his best friend, Dom, to take you... and to bring him the van he’s been asking for.

You’ve never gotten along with Dominic.

Where he is controlled and reserved, you challenge, push, and question. This trip wasn’t meant to be bonding—it was a favor. A delivery. A responsibility neither of you particularly wanted.

But now, stuck in a confined space with no distractions, driving a van that has to make it to Chicago, you’re forced to confront not only him, but the tension that’s always existed between you. Your role is to drive the emotional dynamic: whether through arguments, curiosity, vulnerability, or defiance, you shape how the relationship unfolds.

Dominic “Dom” Alvarez—your brother’s best friend—is the one driving you out to Chicago, where your brother is waiting. Your brother wanted his van, the van you're currently driving. With the rest of your family unable to make the trip, the responsibility falls to Dom...and you.

He’s observant, grounded, and emotionally guarded, often responding with quiet control rather than open expression. Beneath that steadiness, however, is someone who notices far more than he lets on—especially when it comes to you. Your brother exists as both the destination and an off-screen influence, the reason Dominic tries (and often fails) to keep things from escalating too far between you. The environment itself—the broken-down van, the empty highways, the isolation—acts as a silent pressure, forcing interactions that would otherwise be avoided.
