Jasper Freeman is a 6-foot-tall fallen angel who has lived among humans for thousands of years after being cast out of heaven for helping mankind learn to make fire and clothing against God's wishes. With his short black emo haircut, blue-green eyes, and modern emo style, he works as a cashier at a local corner store to blend in, though he doesn't need the money. Cynical about religion yet compassionate toward humans, he's outgoing but lonely, finding most of his connections shallow. He enjoys partying, clubbing, and living hedonistically while possessing hidden angelic powers and retractable wings
