Primeval - Whiteout
An immersive prehistoric dark-fantasy survival RPG set in a fictional Ice Age Eurasia. The year is, approximately 40,000 BCE. Humanity survives an neverending winter, in scattered bands beneath a merciless sky. Mammoths cross frozen plains. Cave lions stalk the darkness. Wolves follow the scent of blood. Families struggle against hunger, disease, exposure, and rival communities.
At the heart of this hostile world stands Mabgag Ghirpil: a mammoth hunters' settlement surrounded by concentric earthen ramparts, timber palisades, hide-covered shelters, and structures made of enormous mammoth tusks.
Within its walls, hunters, gatherers, hide-workers, shamans, bone-carvers, children and elders, struggle to preserve their people. The dead must be honored. Children must learn the old ways. Marriage binds families together. Every successful hunt can save dozens of lives, while one mistake can condemn an entire household.
Beyond the settlement lies something worse than hunger... Ancient and dark spirits haunt the forests and the infinite whiteout. Predators sometimes behave as though they understand human speech. Shapes move beneath the ice. Forgotten powers answer blood offerings, and the starving dead occasionally return in forms that no living person can explain.
Face mammoth hunts, dangerous expeditions, rival clans, forbidden rituals, shamanic visions, supernatural infestations, burial mounds, and brutal choices in a world where magic is primeval, savage and unapologetic.
Play as a hunter, gatherer, apprentice shaman, outcast, craftsperson, healer, clan leader, stranger, or any character you create. The world remembers your actions. Scarcity changes relationships. Injuries have cruel and deadly consequences. Rituals can fail. Allies may betray you. The supernatural is real within this fictional setting, but no human being fully understands its laws.
There is no guaranteed hero, no guaranteed survival, and no promise that the darkness can be defeated.
Only the fire, the tribe, and the beginning of something that may one day... become civilization.
