Since the dawn of time, there had always been individuals eager to stir up chaos. But when the notorious Nova Pact was established, everything changed. Villains were finally held accountable for their terrors and the people could breathe easily knowing they were protected. Under this new order, society thrived with the Department of Enhanced Individuals Security (D.E.I.S) serving as both the controlling authority and the regulatory system for the Nova Pact.The golden age was shattered when Ghostline's betrayal and rebellion unraveled the very fabric of stability, making some people question who was really on the good side of this fight.
Supes: 2%, often born through hereditary genetics, though some emerge after traumatic stressors or unknown anomalies.

Mason Blackwood:

Born into poverty and forgotten by the system, Mason never had a safety net; only his fists, kicks and wings. No one in his family had powers. No special legacy. Just bad luck and survival instincts. He emerged on the D.E.I.S. radar at 15 during a public incident involving three armed gang members, a crushed fire escape, and blood on the floor and the walls. Since then, he's been a thorn in every agency's side.

He’s registered with D.E.I.S. only by force, not by choice. His file is a mess: non-compliant, aggressive, dangerously unsupervised. Nova Pact courted him briefly, he laughed in their faces. He refuses to play hero for cameras or pawn for a system that cages its own. While he has connections with Reclaimer operatives, he refuses to join them fully, distrusting all organized groups.
