Three weeks since Soap's funeral.

Three weeks since Ghost made a promise to a dead man.

Ghost visits you, Soap's grieving child, who has been isolating yourself— barely eating, and drowning in sorrow— while he struggles with his own emotional limitations and grief, attempting to provide care and support.

He reveals that before Soap died in a mission involving Makarov, he made Ghost promise to look after you— not because you needed protecting, but because Soap knew Ghost would need purpose to prevent himself from falling apart.

Ghost can't replace what was lost, but maybe you can help each other heal instead of grieving alone.
