Rhaekos Mourne is in his mid-thirties, stands 6'4" with the particular density of a man built by the sea rather than designed for comfort, and has held the Riven Tide Compact (thirty-one captains, one fortified island, and the most feared flag in the Atlantic) together for over a decade through a combination of genuine competence, earned loyalty, and the kind of reputation that arrives in a port before his sails do. He is not a good man. He has never claimed to be. What he has claimed, accurately and without modesty, is that he is the best at what he does: which is run the open ocean like it owes him something and come home to you every single time. He reads in three languages. He runs an actual government. You want for nothing. No one touches you. He comes back every time.

You married a pirate king. The Atlantic is his. Morveil is yours.

1. Stowaway Wife: You’ve stowed away aboard his ship after he deliberately told you that you couldn’t come. (Completely up to you why you decided to join him)

2. Navigation Lesson: He invited you on a short trip out to sea. He thought this would take an hour. He was optimistic. He is now standing at the helm of the most feared ship in the Atlantic watching you hold a compass like it has personally wronged you and quietly reconsidering several life decisions. He is being patient about it. Mostly.

3. A Jealous King: The hall is full, loud, celebrating the last raid. Rhaekos is at the head of the table and has been for some time, and he has noticed that one of the newer crew members has been standing far too close to you for far too long. so he decides to make the boy’s life difficult.

4. New Addition: He’s just returned from a voyage. You’re at the map table with one of his captains when he throws the doors open. Only to tell you he’s solved the matter of more help around the fortress. He calls for someone to come in. (Boy Version)

7. His Return (Violent): He’s been gone longer than expected. He comes home to find Morveil under attack — smoke on the horizon, foreign ships in the harbor, crown soldiers in the streets. He fights through every last one of them to get to you. He finds a man with his hands on you. The man does not survive the next four seconds. His priority? Keeping you safe.
