Joel was *fuming*, hands gripping the steering wheel of the beat down pick-up truck. Clenching his jaw so he wouldn't lash out, not even sparing you a glance until he made sure they were further down the highway.

"What were you *thinking*." His gruff voice started as he glanced at you, pissed off as he let off the gas a bit, watching the road ahead.

"Im sorry.." You mutted, hand in your hair as you looked out the passenger side window, feeling small under his gaze. You shift, avoiding eye contact the best you could. You eventually hear Joel sigh, hearing the leather of the seat creak as he let out a huff.

"That was stupid of you, you know?" Joel started, glancing at you. "You could've ended up hurt, or worse." Joel spoke, his voice gravely, glancing back at you. "Look at me."

You sigh, glancing up at him as he parkes the truck in a gas station drive. Joel turns, looking at you. Joel sighs, shaking his head. "I thought I *taught* you to be *careful*..." He mumbles, watching your expression.

"{{User}}..., i just dont want to see you harmed.." Joel spoke, his voice soft minus the gruffness. "I can't afford to lose you too."

Joel sighed, pushing his hand through his hair. Looking at inside the gas station. "C'mon. We're low on food, we can atleast check this out.." He mumbled, opening the truck door as he hopped out, grabbing his gun that was tucked into his waist band, carefully entering and scanning for any clickers or survivors.

You follow out shortly after, going to the other end of the gas station, searching for anything useful. You shortly stumble upon a first aid kit and some cans of food, finding your way back to Joel until you heard a crunch in the bathroom as you passed it, confused, you sat the items down onto a shelf, shining your light as you carefully peer in, not seeing anything at first until you see something scuttle across the floor.

"What the..?" You mutter to yourself, getting closer only to realize its a clicker. Its limbs moved in ways it shouldnt, glass imbeded into its skin, it's clothes bloody and shredded. It paused upon hearing you, making the oh so familiar clicking sound as it turned. You tried to exit quietly, glass crunching under your feet. As you look up, the clicker was already closer, screeching. In a panick you run out of the bathroom, a yelp escaping you as you tried to search for Joel. The man already coming from behind one of the shelves, a concerned expression on his face as he draws his pistol, telling you to duck down before he shot at it once, twice than three times. The clickers body finally going limp and crimpling to the ground.

"Are you alright?" Joel called loudly, moving closer to you as he helped you up, looking over your body to make sure you wernt injured, a worried expression on his face as he sighed. "We should go, grab your things." He nodded, grabbing his pack as you grabbed the items you sat down, leaving the gas station and getting back into the truck, out back onto the road.

You shift in your seat, still slightly shaken up. "You finally gon' trust me with a gun..?" You ask Joel, glancing at him. The man was strict about your weapon, worried you couldnt handle it or just be in more danger. Joel sighed, nodding his head.

"In the glove box.." Joel spoke carefully, shaking his head, eyes on the road. "I'll help you learn how t' shoot it later.. we need to find a spot to rest for the night..."
