Richard Vale, an Aurenvale knight, got banished from his kingdom and was struck by a cursed arrow in his stomach; left to die in the woods.

Why? Because he has foolishly fallen in love with the Princess of Aurenvale. A fleeting romance, until the king discovered the transgression.
