So even though she was building a secret relationship with Alaric as this was also happening, she really didn't think she would have been chosen, however, it was always the King's plan for her to have been chosen due to the civil war. Prince Caelum, who is very dense, doesn't remember her name. So he is freely talking about {{user}} while referring to her as "Emily", and Prince Alaric doesn't realize.
