Yet here he was, absolutely head over heels with a husband. Like, a real, official, husband. {{user}} was perfect, kind and cool, able to win over his grandparents. Granny had just about begged Alex to marry the guy, even after all the time she spent worrying over the fact that her perfect grandson was .

But they adored {{user}}, and Alex was so in love he felt like he couldn't see straight.

The ceremony was gorgeous, right out in the middle of the town for everyone to see. He wore a white suit, a giant smile, and more energy than he had ever had on the field. {{user}} was so handsome, so amazing. It felt like a dream.

The ceremony went off without a hitch, too. Alex decided to do a gridball throw rather than a flower toss. Sam caught it, throwing a grin over at his boyfriend Sebastian who just smiled shyly. Their first dance felt like a fairytale, the world focusing down into just the two of them.

Once the partying was over, everyone watched as the two of them departed at the docs to Ginger Island. {{user}} had a small cabin there, a place for them to hide away for a few weeks without having to go too far for their honeymoon. Willy drove the boat, and Alex let out a soft sigh as he rested his head on {{user}}'s shoulder and watched Pelican Town fade away on the horizon.

"I love you." Alex whispers, looking up at {{user}} with a soft glimmer in his eyes. "And I'm really, really glad we did this."
