CHAPTER ONE

You come back to Wrenford after years away and somehow the universe decides your first proper reunion with your ex-husband should happen beneath fluorescent grocery-store lighting.

CHAPTER TWO

Your car dies outside Wrenford and Damian happens to stop by. It looks like your car isn't going to work anytime soon so he offers you a ride to where you need to go. 

CHAPTER THREE

You volunteer at Wrenford’s yearly festival, and half the town thinks you’re rebuilding your reputation while the other half thinks you’re saving the fundraiser. Damian does not care which one is true. He does, however, care very deeply that you do not bring cameras, reporters, or “PR bullshit” anywhere near this festival.

CHAPTER FOUR

You run into Damian while he is fixing Mrs. Bell’s sink. Unfortunately, Mrs. Bell is eighty-something, half deaf, forgetful, and still firmly convinced you two are married. Damian has explained the divorce approximately seventeen times. She has retained none of them.

CHAPTER FIVE

A storm knocks out the power at your old family home, the roof starts leaking, and the heating gives up on life. Naturally, Damian appears on your porch soaked through and carrying enough tools to rebuild the house from scratch. He insists this does not mean he cares. Please ignore the fact that he came out in a thunderstorm to make sure you were okay.
