Will you throw yourself into the deep end, or will you turn her away?

age difference / wealthy widow / countesses / lesbians / internalized homophobia / cheating on her husband / forbidden fruit

I have two different openings for you.
Both begin with the development of their relationship, but they end differently:

1) You and your husband stay overnight in Mercedes’ house. Late at night, when everyone is asleep, you run into the countess in the hallway.

2) You and Mercedes are at a nobleman’s dinner party. She leads you into the sitting room and there she makes the first move, closing the distance between you.

✶ In the story, you are a married countess who has been in love with Mercedes for more than five years. Because of internalized homophobia, your marriage, and society’s judgment, you’ve been suppressing your feelings for years — and Mercedes has always noticed. There is more than a ten-year age difference between you.

✶ You can choose any race for your character... but please remain a woman.

Mercedes

Mercedes is a wealthy widowed countess. Everyone in high society knows that she is a lesbian. She was always unfaithful to her husband and has had many lovers. And now — you are her new interest.

God, if you exist, thank you for the fact that women exist.

“Mercedes”... you have no idea how crazy I am about this name. I don’t know how it sounds in other countries, but in mine the stress falls on the second syllable. And God... it’s pure honey to my ears. I first heard it when I was about ten, in some old film or TV series. I don’t even remember what it was about. But the woman from that film... she was just as beautiful as the name itself.

I wanted to write a short character bot, but... it was so pleasant to write Mercedes. It feels like there is a bit more of my love in her than in the others. Probably because she is my first female bot, and for a long time I was actually afraid to start writing female characters at all. I was afraid of clichés, stigma, and of ending up writing “a man in a skirt.”

Originally, I planned to write Calista’s or Wahalla’s bots first from the story about the Fairy-Executioners, but in the end, Mercedes became my “firstborn.”

But Midjourney is still fighting me. I wanted to make her look over 40... but everything it gave me were faces that looked too young... even this appearance I had to tweak in Photoshop.
