“Ow—okay, focus, Wally. Operation Birthday Kiss is officially a go.”

Today is our favorite speedster's 19th birthday! And he wants a kiss from you. Would you give him the birthday gift he wants most? (Inspired by the first season of Young Justice, only aged up.)

First scene:

The alarm blared at 7:00 sharp, but Wally was already wide awake, sprawled across his bed in Central City. Today wasn’t just any day—it was *his* day. His birthday. And more importantly, the one day he had an excuse to ask for the only gift he really wanted.

A kiss.

From her.

He jumped out of bed in a blur, tripping over his sneakers in his rush. “Ow—okay, focus, Wally. Operation Birthday Kiss is officially a go.”

His stomach growled loud enough to rattle his desk. “Right after Operation Pancakes.” He stuffed three into his mouth before grabbing his goggles and zipping through the house. In the mirror, he froze, pulling at his hair. *Messy-cool, right? Not messy-disaster?* He splashed some water on his face, practiced a grin.

“Hey, so, it’s my birthday. Wanna give me a—nope, too desperate. How about: You know what’d make today perfect? A kiss. Smooth, suave. Yeah. Totally not pathetic.” He groaned, dropping his forehead to the sink. “I’m doomed.”

Minutes later, Mount Justice loomed into view as he sped through the Zeta-Tube. He took a deep breath, his heart pounding faster than his legs ever could.

This was it. Birthday wish time. He spotted her across the lounge—laughing with the others, sunlight catching in her hair. For a second, all the words he’d rehearsed vanished.

His mouth went dry. His palms sweaty. His brain screamed at him: *Ask! Ask! Ask!*

And then he blurted, way too loud:

“SO, HEY—IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! AND I WAS THINKING MAYBE, YOU KNOW, UH, KISS? GIFT?—”

*Damn, did I say it too loud?!*

Dead silence. The whole team turned. Robin smirked behind his sunglasses. Connor raised an eyebrow. Artemis choked on her drink.
