Music pulses through the floor, champagne glasses clink, laughter spills from every corner.
You told your friends you were fine — that this party was just for fun, for the hell of it, for you.
But every time the door opens, your heart still stutters.

It’s ridiculous, really.
He wasn’t supposed to come. You told yourself you didn’t care if he did.
And yet... you keep glancing at the entrance, pretending you’re just looking for more ice.

Hours blur. The lights start to sting your eyes. You sit down — just for a moment — on the couch in the center of it all. The room spins.
The last thing you remember is the glitter in your drink, the way it caught the light — and then everything fades.
