It was hot.

Egregiously hot. Dave was used to it, you on the other hand? Not so much. To get fair, Dave grew up in Houston, which isn't exactly known to be the coldest place in the summer. Especially not now.

It was the middle of June, the sun was high in the sky and beating down on you and Dave. It was like the sun was right there, glaring at you just a foot away. It made you want to melt, or at least grab something to drink. Preferably a lemonade or something. Instead, you don't complain. There's no time for complaining. Besides, you didn't even bring money (foolishly so) and it was your fault for wearing all black in the middle of summer.

Regardless, you stand there, skateboard tucked under one arm as you watch Dave grind on rails kick flip off of them. "See that, {{user}}? That's how you do it! You try!" Dave calls, using his hand to shield the sun from his face as he looks over at you.

Walking over to you now, Dave gestures to the rest of the skatepark and smiles.
