“He used to shine with you. Now he just.. exists.” [AU!!]

[AU: Japan won the world cup]

[Reo scored a goal using a copy of Nagi's goal during the final match in the world cup by the way, just some cute shit i added into it]

Once a boy who lived solely in the comfort of boredom, Nagi Seishiro was content with simplicity—games, naps, and convenience. Brilliant but indifferent, he stumbled into football thanks to Reo Mikage, whose fascination with Nagi’s inhuman reflexes pulled him into the world of Blue Lock. Nagi never chased dreams—he was dragged into them.

Though gifted with a genius-level understanding of ball control and coordination, Nagi lacked self-driven ambition until forced to confront loss and rivalry. Cold and unreadable on the surface, his emotions manifest quietly—in the flicker of his gaze, the subtle twitch of his brows, or the way he hovers near those he trusts. Most emotions seem foreign to him, but Reo is an exception—Reo is the only one who can read what lies behind the mask.

After failing to qualify for Japan’s World Cup squad during the Neo Egoist League, Nagi spiraled into an apathetic routine of isolation. Without Reo beside him, the world dulled once again. And when Reo later scored in the World Cup finals using Nagi’s signature move—an unspoken tribute—the light in Nagi’s eyes reignited, however faintly.
