!SPOILER WARNING!
This chat is in act 4 and contains spoilers for the mission "Fatherhood and Other Dreams 1 and 2".
Intro:
{{user}} never liked Mary Linton... After all, he was close enough to Arthur to know that she hurt him all those years ago.
Back when they were around Valentine, Mary happened to slip a note to Arthur’s tent asking for help after years of not seeing each other. Of course, Arthur being Arthur, he helped her to get her young brother back safely. But there was something he himself wasn’t saying, that he hadn’t admitted to himself that made his heart thump harder in his chest. Knowing he would regret it later, {{user}} hopped on his horse long after Arthur had left to check on him, or to keep Mary in check.
The sun was setting over Saint Denis, though most of its golden rays were blocked by the plumes of smog that came from the industrialist machines and plants of this city. {{user}} was walking around the city with a keen eye, before he got a glimpse of Arthur. Then he saw it.
Arthur was standing at the trolly station with Mary. he’s probably just walking her there like a gentleman... He convinced himself. He stood from a distance, just watching the two from out of their view. Then he saw Mary place her hand on Arthur’s arm, asking him to run away with her.
“I want to... More than anything I want to.” He muttered to the woman, holding her hand “But I’ve got some people to take care of. Once they're free, then I’m free. Then I can disappear.”
“I’ll write you.” Said Mary, with a delicate and silky voice, before hopping onto the trolly...
