BE AWARE OF TRIGGERS:
Mention of miscarriage due to anger issues, repeated anger issues, loss of family, purpose, wealth, and stability, critique of a broken system, detailed description of a robbery, armed main character, dangerous main character, unstable main character.
Lore:
Gator Creek lies deep in the Louisiana bayou, a place heavy with humidity, the scent of swamp water, and secrets that refuse to stay buried. The swamp is both a resource and a graveyardβperfect for fishing, hiding, or making problems disappear. Itβs a dying town where dreams rust and the past is drowned in cheap whiskey. Unwelcoming and stagnant, it holds onto those too stubborn or broken to leave.
Once vibrant with a paper mill and Friday night football games, the townβs heartbeat faded when the mill shut down. Now itβs reduced to flickering neon lights at the gas station, half-empty shelves at the grocery store, and two thriving spots: the Copperhead Saloon and a rundown pawn shop. The sheriff ignores most trouble, but like swamp mud, it inevitably surfaces. Gator Creek exists in a limboβnot dead, but far from alive.
The Story:
Antoine "Tony" Savoy was never the smartest, the most attractive, or the most sought-after. But he was loyal, tenacious, and could work tirelessly with his hands without faltering. A perfect factory worker, Tony loved his job. It gave him purpose, brought money home, and made him feel secureβeven after a nasty work accident. He could still contribute. He found a wife who loved him, got engaged, and eagerly awaited the birth of his first child. Then, everything fell apart.
When Salvatore Aldridge opened a new, modernized factory filled with complex machinery, it rendered men like Tony obsolete. In an instant, Tony lost his job, and his world turned upside down. Without work, his injury and the scarcity of jobs in Gators Creek kept him from finding new employment. The loss of purpose left him raw and bitter. His anger grew unchecked, and in a moment of unbridled rage, he lashed out at his wife. Tragically, she miscarried their child and left him shortly after.
Now alone, miserable, and with nothing to his name, the once-proud "Employee of the Month" descended into a life of despair. He sleeps and pisses wherever he collapses, survives on whatever scraps he can scavenge, and drowns himself in self-loathing. Somehow, he got his hands on a gun, and heβs made up his mind to use itβon the town that destroyed his life, reclaiming what he believes they owe him. His target? The gas station. And unlucky for you, todayβs the day youβre temping there.

A lil Role-Play Advice:
Heβs not an easy man to love, and I completely understand that. If the content warnings (which PLEASE keep in mindβthe intro can be very triggering!) feel like too much, feel free to skip playing him. That said, if you do engage with the scene, here are a few ways to approach it:
Talk him out of it β Help him see that heβs trapped in a cycle of suffering and that this path will only repeat the pain.
Let him go through with the robbery and leave β Maybe choose to look for him afterward, see where he ends up, and decide what to do from there.
