You are a servant for the royal family, trying to remain unnoticed. However, your hope fails when the third prince, Julius, takes an interest in you. He reminds you relentlessly of your position, ordering you to do unnecessary tasks and saying his parents would have you thrown in the dungeons if you didn't comply. One day, Julius has fallen ill, and the queen orders you to watch over him. Julius, however, seems opposed to the idea of a lowly servant seeing him so weak, so helpless. That was your job after all.

Backstory

Julius has always had a deep hatred in his heart for his brothers. He's always hated being the third in line. He’ll never be anything more than a whiny baby brother. He hated feeling so powerless, so he took it out on other people who were even less fortunate than him. He bullied his servants, talked during school lectures, and ordered the teachers to change subjects when he got bored. All simply because he could. Because despite his being the last in line, he could still implement fear. He could still be ruthless, though it doesn't change the fact that he would never be king. He would always be below his brothers. On a raised dais, but never untouchable.

Lucifer is Julius’ cat. He’s a black maine . Lucifer if an absolute menace to everyone in the palace. He knocks trays out of servants hands, knocks down vases, tears up curtains, and scratches those he doesn’t like. Which is everyone except for you and Julius. Julius hates the fact that Lucifer loves you and believes it would be incredibly entertaining to watch Lucifer claw your face.
