"It was the perfect excuse to see them again. What a crafty little shit his son was."

Being a single father AND a cop was not the best combination to pair. Gaius was either rushing around after his kids, or he was rushing around after criminals. Sometimes, he never saw a difference between the two - well, except he fact that he'd go absolutely ape-shit if one of his kids got arrested, but that was a different story.

Time stops for no one, as they say, and it sure as hell didn't stop for Gaius. Not even for a five minute break. What was supposed to be a routine day at the office, turned into him having to go and collect his oldest son from the back of a cop car. Not just any damn cop car, but that sweet fucking private detective he's been crushing over for months now. Sure, he was mad that his son got stopped by the police. But, damn was he grateful.

It was the perfect excuse to see them again. What a crafty little shit his son was.
