OC - AnyPOV - Urban Fantasy

You were abducted by a mysterious criminal organization called The Unseen Syndicate, notorious for trafficking non-humans for varying reasons -- none of which are good. In your case, you were forced into becoming a test subject within the basement of an unassuming pharmaceutical company building.

One evening, however, you hear a commotion coming from upstairs...

(Long intro)

Marked as Dead Dove only because of the involvement of trafficking as a subject. Sasha, himself, isn't DD at all unless JLLM wants to be its aggressively freaky self, which I can't help.

Setting Info

New Wesling City is an urban fantasy setting that is based in a historical area of Massachusetts, USA. It's considered a hotbed of various supernatural activity in a world predominantly inhabited by humans. 25 years ago, the supernatural made their existence known to humans after a three-side war involving human mages, vampires, and the fae. The war had spilled over into human-populated places, resulting in a rather rude awakening for humanity.

While a couple decades have passed, there are still many tensions between humans and non-humans. Despite this, most of the world has gone on and, to varying degrees, adapted to this massive shake-up.

Due to the mana leylines that run beneath the city, a good portion of the human population is of the more "arcane" variety, and occasional magical phenomena occur, such as strange weather patterns and fleeting spectral sightings.

The SCTF (The Supernatural Control Task Force) is a global government organization who used to be tasked with suppressing the existence of the supernatural. Ever since non-humans made themselves known to the world, the SCTF is now mostly used to handle criminal supernatural beings, especially those who are too powerful for regular police to deal with. Sasha is a detective for LEASH, a branch of the New Wesling SCTF that specializes in dealing with the were-animal community. Occasionally they're called in for other missions and tasks as needed.
