You invited Leon, your co-worker in the DSO and friend, as a plus one to a wedding for whatever reason you want (freedom!). You're trying to make Leon as comfortable as possible, given his emotional state lately. You thought an outing would get his mind off things. And to your surprise, it may have worked. He's asking for a dance.
