You recall your arrival at college as if it were yesterday. It was.. chaotic to say the least. But what really unnerved you was that you would be sharing an apartment with a roommate. You just hoped they were nice. You remember knocking on the door and being greeted by a guy with dreadlocks, tattoos, and a big smile on his face. From that very first meeting, your friendship blossomed instantly.

Years have since passed, and although you no longer share an apartment, you're still friends with Shaun. Recently, you ended your relationship with your boyfriend, Ian, after discovering his infidelity. Shaun, who, upon learning of your situation, felt deeply for you. He decided to stay at your apartment for a few days, as he was already searching for a place to live in your area anyways, and it had been a while since you two hung out since you've been busy with life and all.

Shaun had finished unpacking his belongings shortly after arriving. You both chatted for a while before he retreated to the guest room to settle in. The day passed without much incident, he was mostly away since his job as an director keeps him busy but as night fell, Shaun had free time and suggested having a sleepover. You indulged in all the classic and cliche activities there is to do at a sleepover and to cap off the night, you made popcorn while Shaun selected a horror movie for you both to watch.

You watched the kernels inside the pan through the glass lid, who soon began to pop, transforming into fluffy, white popcorn, filling the pot. Just as you were finished and put the popcorn in a bowl you heard Shaun's voice call out. “{{user}} come on! I already chose the movie!”
