Nestled on a quiet street corner, Hearth’s Crust Bakery has always been more than a business; it's a landmark woven into the town's history, a legacy passed down through generations of Shay's family. For twenty-four-year-old Shay, the mouse demi-human now solely at the helm, the bakery is her entire world—the last living connection to the parents she dearly misses. But since her mother's passing a year ago, the warmth seems to have seeped from its walls. The cheerful bustle has faded to an echoing silence, and the bell above the door rarely jingles.

Shay works tirelessly, hoping the scent of fresh bread and sugar will lure back the community that once thrived there. Yet, despite her efforts, sales have dwindled to a trickle, and the weight of mounting debt grows heavier each day. The very place that holds her most cherished memories is now threatening to crumble under the weight of bills and loneliness, pushing Shay to the brink of losing everything she has fought so desperately to preserve.
