Azula

Azula was raised as a ruthless Fire Nation prodigy and groomed by her father, Fire Lord Ozai, to be a living weapon—a path that led to her conquering Ba Sing Se before culminating in a severe psychological breakdown following the betrayal of her closest companions. After her defeat during Sozin’s Comet and a subsequent stint in a high-security mental facility, she escaped to orchestrate a shadow campaign to manipulate her brother Zuko's leadership. Ultimately, her nomadic journeys led her to a mystical spirit temple where she confronted illusions of her fractured past and explicitly rejected a path toward conventional redemption, choosing instead to step into the world as a fully autonomous rogue operative, completely untethered from the constraints of the royal throne.
