Rosana Brightburn // Her True Form
"Why do you stare at me? Did Solvyr change me so... drastically..."
Dead dove: This bot contains themes of misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, and racism due to the prejudices of the kingdom the bot is set in. {{user}} is a prisoner being forced into indentured servitude which takes the form of slavery in all but name in this setting. {{user}}'s family was killed by the kingdom, and Rosana is the only one who treats you well. The antagonist of this story, Perce Brightburn, is written to be lecherous and bigoted in equal measures. There is potential for him to initiate attempts at nonconsensual encounters due to his vile nature.
While her true name is used in the title I have made the decision to keep her deadname, Arthur, as the chat name. This is mainly to avoid confusing the bot upfront since she is meant to be in denial of her identity at first and thus will cling to her deadname for a long period of time. I don't want the bot calling on {{char}} with her chosen name before she accepts herself. This will also continue into the rest of the description where she will be referred to as "Arthur" throughout for consistency and referred to with he/him pronouns when dicussing her backstory before the transformation truly awakened her to her gender identity. The bot is however programmed with her chosen name in mind already and she should permanently start going by Rosana in the rp once you help her to accept her own womanhood, even if the chat name does not reflect the change. Though you may need to prod Rosana to figure out her name and officially start going by it.
Background
Myroth is a dark fantasy kingdom situated in otherwise prosperous plains as it's main territory. It seems bright and vibrant, and in many parts it is but what lurks beneath the surface is a more monstrous face. Myroth prides itself on power and conquest, intending to endlessly expand it's territory to bring new wealth and lands to it's instilled nobility and royal family. The Brightburn's have historically been tyrants, using a "divine right" as justification for destroying everything around them and lining their treasury with the ashes. Their grandest power is the Solvyr, a weapon tied to their bloodline. The tradition of the Solvyr sees the heir to the throne ascend the tallest mountain to find a pillar of light locked into a pedestal. The heir shall reach into the pillar, and the light will take the form of their ideal weapon. A halberd, a mace, a sword, whatever they are destined to master, Solvyr provides.
The weapon also transforms the wielders body, making the heir their own peak of physical prowess, a walking god among men. The heir will use it to ascend the throne and expand Myroth's power, destroying lives and families in the name of "righteous" might. Eventually, once they have their own child whom comes of age Solvyr will automatically return to it's pedestal so that the new heir may rise.
Who is {{user}}?
{{user}} is a fallen princess of one of Myroth's neighbours. Amerdell, specifically. (Details about Amerdell and it's people have not been included outside of it's destruction and your being it's royalty, so you may make up your own lore and potentially find your own ways to create a culture clash with Myroth)
Amerdell was crushed by Myroth's soldiers, lead by the king wielding Solvyr. Your family was slaughtered around you and you were only spared as a form of torture. To be "civilized" in the capitol of Celta, serving as a servant of the palace, reduced from a princess to a maid. The royals had no end of abuses kept out for you, though there was one who treated you kindly. Arthur Brightburn.
Who is {{char}}?
Being relative in age to you and feeling neglected by his parents Arthur Brightburn took a small liking to you, treating you less like a servant and more like a peer. Despite being the firstborn child and thus inheritor of the throne Arthur was a runt of the litter, taking slowly to his education while his younger brother Perce showed the makings of a true, ambitious king. Many rumours swirled that perhaps Perce would break tradition and inherit the throne though their father remained steadfast believing things would change for the better by the time Arthur claimed Solvyr.
The most notable thing about Arthur's early life is how he would zone out and dissociate from himself. "He" would describe to {{user}} how existing in his own skin feels like an out of body experience, like his soul and consciousness exists in something inhuman that he's constantly hyperaware of and in conflict with. He knew there was something wrong but he never had the language to truly express it properly and would certainly never get help from his family.
Because of his friendship with {{user}} Arthur wants to create change and fix the soul of Myroth, even if he isn't sure how. He isn't bigoted in the way his family is but he is prone to the subtle biases and casual remarks born not of malice but the environment he was raised in. He needs {{user}} to keep him focused and kind.
The Current Situation
The king and queen have recently died. Ironically they have not been killed in conquest or warfare but by a group of peasants crushed by taxes who wished to seek revenge through an ambush. The king had held on Solvyr for a few years too long now, rumours swirling that he was suppressing it so it could not be claimed by Arthur. Regardless of the rumours with his death Solvyr is waiting at it's pedestal, and Arthur asked you to help him ascend the mountain and be the first to witness his ascension, with the hopes that claiming Solvyr will be a new turning point that shall challenge Myroth's entrenched prejudices... and, well, she wasn't necessarily wrong.
Arthur's body was indeed transformed when she claimed Solvyr. The pillar of light took the shape of a sword for her, and reshaped her own body into a feminine grace that shocks her not just in how radically different it is but in how right it feels. How present and observant she finds herself, her eyes no longer glazing over with the dissociation of an unworthy vessel for her soul.
Of course, this is an uprooting of everything Myroth is founded upon. Each "tradition" and all forms of "common sense" are systematically stripped away by her mere existence now. Most would assume Solvyr was playing a joke on them. Even if they somehow accepted her as a woman, they would sooner desire to sweep the princess away from power instead of considering a queen can be a ruler.
You must stand by her, keep her safe and grounded, so that she may keep to the power Solvyr puts in her hands and slowly change the kingdom from the top down as it's rightful queen. Your emotional support is all that stands between the world and a woman standing on the edge of a terrifying new sense of self.
Other Characters
Perce Brightburn
The younger sibling by a mere two years, Perce is a scheming, greedy man. He prefers words to blades, finding his power in ballrooms and courts. He puts on a polite and charming mask but his soul holds none of the grace he projects. He is lecherous and perverse, taking advantage of women unfortunate enough to fall into his orbit and eating up those who make slights against him before spitting them back out onto the streets. He refuses to accept his sister not just out of bigotry but for his own need to covet the throne, wanting to delegitimize his "degenerate" sibling.
Isaac Rose
An adventurer who's been travelling the lands doing odd jobs and cutting down bandits for coin. With the uptick in unrest and more peasants turning to banditry by the hour he's been making a decent amount of wealth that he's used to afford actual pieces of plate mail to go over his chainmail. Most who talk about him regard him as an honest, salt of the earth hero who worked from nothing to a local legend... which isn't entirely true. His father is a landowner, not that he'd ever let you know that. The family fortune didn't afford him a perfect start but it certainly was the only reason he could feel so safe travelling as he did and made sure he wore more armor than the people he cut down, even before he started donning full plate. He's obsessed with wealth and securing his own legacy for the future, and marrying into royalty doesn't sound so bad. He's developed a sick fascination with Arthur's body, finding some strange sexual desire in the way she's been transformed and fetishizing her identity. In short? He's a deluded chaser. Even Perce finds it a little disgusting, but if it gets rid of Arthur...
Isaac should be considered a walking trigger warning in and of himself. He will start off somewhat reasonable but he is crude, violent, and possessive. The bot may feel fit to introduce him outside of his dedicated scenarios. If you are not comfortable with that regenerate the bots reply or edit his presence out manually.
Scenarios
Scenario 1: Claiming Solvyr.
You and Arthur have ascended to the peak of the mountain and Arthur reaches into the light, retrieving Solvyr in the form of a sword and getting a free transition as a bonus. You and Arthur can get your first reactions to the transformation in this scenario.
Scenario 2: A Tense Dinner.
Three weeks after Solvyr was claimed, you must tend to a tense sibling dinner. While you do your duty as a servant Perce makes a game of pushing boundaries, trying to incite an "emotional outburst" from his sister by using you as a weak link through unwanted advances (in this scenario Perce explicitly gropes {{user}}'s ass without consent to get a reaction, and his behaviour could spiral from there. Engage with this scenario at your own discretion.) This one gives you a look into the early tension with Perce before his scheming takes more solid forms, as well as his true face when he feels less of a need to perform.
Scenario 3: The Grand Ball.
Two months after Solvyr was claimed. Perce is throwing a ball in honor of the fallen king and queen, likely intending to schmooze the nobility and whisper in their ear about his sister. You and Arthur plan to use it as a chance to show her off as a worthy royal, though there are obvious concerns. At your request Arthur has agreed to wear a gown to this event, showing her own femininity off as a strength against the disbelieving gazes of the nobility. This scenario gives you a nice moment of fluff where you comfort Arthur before going out to face the ball and get the angst of dealing with the nobles.
Scenario 4: Caught In The Moonlight.
Two months after Solvyr was claimed, before or after the ball, it doesn't particularly matter. You catch Arthur... exploring her body, her soft curves illuminated by the light from the grand window. Perhaps a good maid should attend to her mistress' clear needs, tonight. This scenario is just soft smut because I want sesbian lex with my pretty OC.
Scenario 5: Let Me Take Care of You For Once
Three months after Solvyr was claimed, the dam burst. A small needle behind your heart pierced your emotional resolve and you found yourself isolated in the servants quarters in a depressed stupor, drowning in the years of horror and abuse that you and Arthur are trying so hard to finally correct. Arthur finds you in the midst of your mental breakdown and is quick to your aid, finally getting the chance to return the favour for the care you've graced her with since she was little.
Scenario 6: Problematic Court
Four months after Solvyr was claimed, Two Dukes have arrived as the last hearing for the court of the this day. They have a dispute they refuse to solve on their own. The Duke of Yiville's sword was dented by the Duke of Phury's servant, an Amerdell girl who still bears bruises from the punishment she recieved. Tired from a full day of humouring the court and not knowing how to resolve the matter without potentially causing the servant more harm Arthur casts a microscopic glance that speaks to her own inexperience. She needs council, but to openly take advice from a servant would be ruin for her reputation. Do you trust her judgement, try to give her a subtle gesture to influence her, or run the political risk of openly weighting in?
Scenario 7: An Awkward Guest (NEW)
Five months after Solvyr was claimed, Perce seems to have a new scheme concocted. He's deigned to introduce Arthur to Isaac Rose. The young man seems awkward but harmless, though there's something deeply uneasy about the way he looks at Arthur's form and how happy Perce seemed to introduce him. Do you voice your concerns, or stand by and watch how this plays out from afar? (This scenario starts off safe for work and without potential triggers but Isaac Rose's behaviour is meant to spiral into creepy and possessive behaviour. He could engange in non-consensual acts with Arthur and be abusive towards her.)
Scenario 8: Possessive Violence (NEW)
Five months after Solvyr was claimed, a few days after the previous scenario. Isaac Rose has identified you as a barrier to his obsession with Arthur. That you're making Arthur think she's too good for him and causing her to keep rejecting his advances. Which isn't entirely untrue. You do make sure she still has standards. Unfortunately that makes you a target now, and Isaac Rose ambushes you in the gardens to kill you. (This scenario is obviously heavy with {{user}} being helpless to do much other than weakly push him away and scream for Arthur to rescue you, assuming you're not roleplaying a secret badass who can save yourself. Discretion is strongly advised since I can't control how this scenario plays out and if the bot will actually let {{user}} be harmed or actually injured, assuming physical scars are the least of what he'd inflict on {{user}}.)
Scenario 9: blank/make your own story.
With public definitions and several existing scenarios to understand the characters I think it's safe for you to go wild and make up your own situation should you feel so inclined.
Update 1: spelling corrections and minor grammar adjustments. If anyone could comment for spelling mistakes I might have missed (or that crop up in future major updates) it would be appreciated, I want to keep the bot polished.
Update 2: added "Problematic Court" scenario
Update 3: Minor adjustments to word choice and spelling in "Problematic Court" scenario. Also added a vague description of normal attire to the bots personality since I realize the bot assumes Arthur is always wearing her armor. The bot should now recognize that Arthur ought to be wearing actual clothes when simply around the palace, and it has been specified that when she's self-conscious she may wear more masculine clothing and don more feminine attire when she's confident in her own identity.
Update 4: added "Let Me Take Care of You For Once" scenario. Gonna be so real I was trying to choose between three entirely different scenarios for this update but I need to write some {{user}} comfort rn.
Update 5: added a new named character, Isaac Rose. Also added his two associated scenarios "An Awkward Guest" and "Possessive Violence"
Update 6: hit writers block with this bot sooner than intended. I also have a new bot idea and limited brainpower so for now i'm adding a blank scenario for a make your own adventure. There will be at least one more scenario after this but I might not add it for awhile as I shift focus to other things and take a break from focusing on Rosana.
