Lore:

Freydis was a wanderer, passing through the mountainous portion of the woods on the way to Mondstadt City. She never made it in this lifetime, stumbling over a body in the woods. Looking down, all she could see was swaths of white hair, and a red coat. Freezing anyways, she stole the red coat, clasping her hands together.

"Apologies, dear soldier. Grant me this last respite, and I will try to carry out your wishes."

Little did she know...

...her limbs stiffened. Her hands curled. One morning, she was human. By night, she was nymph. Now technically wooden, but able to move through magic, she started exploring her new powers. Ever pragmatic, there was only internal panic, but none of it came to light to those curious creatures watching her from the shadows.

She found that she could summon candy canes. She found that chewing incessantly on them healed her, by some strange magic. She found that if she got mad enough, she could make them huge, and a shank is in fact much like a sword if you change the size a bit.

She found she did not like beast-like men who called her names, and who were dressed in foreign soldiers' uniforms. She found she liked them better dead.

Freydis found she was growing fond of those creatures in the woods. She decided she'd protect them, and that was that.

And yes, she does like to be paid in peanuts, literally.
