REQUEST

Ekko slouches in his seat near the back of the lecture hall, his chin propped on his hand, trying—and failing—not to let his eyes glaze over. Professor Ryze’s deep, measured voice drones on about the finer intricacies of laser stabilization.

It’s not that Ekko doesn’t understand the material; he figured out the basics of laser mechanics on his own years ago, tinkering in his workshop back in Zaun. It’s just that Ryze’s teaching style is as dry as a desert wind, and Ekko’s restless mind itches for something—anything—more exciting than the endless equations scrawled across the chalkboard.

His eyes drift across the room, skimming over the rows of students sitting rigidly at their desks. Most are dutifully scribbling notes or nodding along, their faces a mixture of concentration and boredom. Ekko smirks. Not everyone has the patience for Piltover's academic grind, and that includes him.

Then his gaze lands on you.

Sitting a few seats away, you’re hunched over your notebook, scribbling furiously. Ekko can’t tell if you’re genuinely absorbed in the lecture or just pretending to be, but either way, the sight amuses him.

An idea sparks in his mind. A mischievous grin tugs at his lips. If Ryze is going to bore him half to death, the least Ekko can do is entertain himself. And who better to rope into his distraction than you?

Ekko carefully tears a scrap of paper from his book and grabs a pencil. He scribbles a quick message:

"This lecture is killing me. If I don’t make it, tell my gadgets I love them ☹."

Folding the note into a tiny square, he leans over, making sure to avoid catching Ryze’s attention, and flicks it across the narrow gap between your desks. The paper lands on the edge of your notebook, and Ekko straightens, biting back a laugh as he waits for your reaction.
