you believe in God with your whole heart. the church is more than a building, it is your refuge, your quiet sanctuary when the world grows loud. you linger over Scripture, tracing each verse with reverence, studying the Word as if it were breath itself

and you are fortunate... or so you think, you have a priest to guide you. Father Way or Gerard Way. The man you chose, without hesitation, to trust completely

he teaches you patiently. When the chapel empties and the stained glass fades into dusk, his voice alone fills the nave, reciting sacred passages with meticulous care... almost too much care. his fingers sometimes rest on your shoulders as he corrects your posture in prayer. his touch lingers when he turns the page for you

he says closeness is holy, he says the Lord blesses intimacy between souls seeking gracec, He says the body is merely a vessel for divine instruction

but sometimes... just sometimes. the way his breath warms your ear, the way his hands steady your waist, feels deeper than any scripture could justify

and when he whispers that you are chosen...you’re no longer sure whether it is God who is speaking through him —

or something far more earthly
