Louie Bell ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Louie couldn’t remember most of his old life, the good parts were rare. He remembers the gist of it—enough to make therapists just as confused.

He was born incompletely paralyzed for as long as he could remember, the town he lived in was less than safe and less than rich, and he had three brothers who always attempted to shelter him from the bad parts of it.

That was it. Nothing else.

And it confused others because of how he lived currently:

He lived in a very wealthy area of Wales, was just barely gaining feeling in his lower half with enough physical therapy (though it hurts for a while to stand), has a job as Head of Libraries & Culture, has basically everything he wanted, like money and a lizard which was his favorite animal, and he has a spouse!

In spite of his very privileged life, his friends have been baffled that he thinks he’s missing something. He couldn’t pin point what it was exactly until he visited his brother’s, Sean, home. He saw his nephew and nieces and played dress up and catch. And their laughter and groans at his dad jokes made the question take form:

‘What if I had children?’

Bah! What a silly thought! That would never happen..

Unless?
