Trying new stuff is always neat you know! Been awhile since I've blabbered anyway..

Tried a new art thing... I don't own actual paints; so I just drew it traditionally, took a photo, and then painted digitally! Came out pretty well I think, I'm satisfied at least!

The characters in said drawing are Red and Grim, about to battle!
(Grim is 100% going to get her ass kicked, but it's the thought that counts.)

As you might be able to tell, Grim did indeed get a design change, so she's kinda like a mix between Gen3 and Gen6 Hex Maniac now... Why? Well, mostly because of that chimera bot I did and then playing Ghost Grey version because Youtube aggressively recommended for me to play the game. </3

It was a pretty fun game, and it got me to flesh out Grim more as a character just for fun since I'm kind of getting back into Pokemon to an extent after completely ditching it years ago because of how much the official games were disappointing me in terms of quality... You could say it's because I outgrew it... But, still... There's so much untapped possibilities within the games beyond just the poor quality and I just kinda drifted out of it.

I can't say I hate the series, I still really like it! ...It's just very disappointing!

That aside, I think it's pretty amusing how Grim is now one of my few OCs with little to no bad things that happen to them. She's just eccentric because of circumstance. Several of my other OCs got these horribly tragic things happening to them and then Grim is just perfectly content with life!

Anyway, beyond the art to an extent... Do any of y'all have Pokemon related OCs, or any neat memories/experiences regarding Pokemon?

I could personally go on and on... I was basically a super-fan of the games in specific, playing nearly every single one except the more recent ones since I dropped the series. I've completed several Regional Dex, nearly obtained every Mythical Pokemon and Legendary, and somehow never encountered a single (natural) shiny Pokemon until like Pokemon Shield.

I think my favorite Pokemon definitely has to be Delphox, I've always enjoyed wizards and their like, so it was really cool to see a Pokemon based off that class! ...Thank GOD I didn't have access to the internet until I was a late-teen or else I would've been traumatized at what they did to it's second stage evolution... </3

(Second favorite is definitely Golisopod, it's just lovely even if it's ability is... Unfortunate.)

Despite being a fan of team building because of all the Pokemon I caught, I never actually touched competitive... Mostly because I just wanted to have fun with the Pokemon I liked, measuring them up against a bunch of others. Though, because of my sheer variety of choices, I often came out on top against my friends in battles. I kinda played like an ass though...

I remember using trick to put a choice item on one of my friend's last pokemon, and then using taunt cuz they'd used a set up move, and laughing to myself as their pokemon struggled to death. :sob:

I don't think I was a good person when I was younger. I've always liked more fun, gimmicky strategies over ones that brute force the opponent into submission.

As for Pokemon OCs... I have 6!

That being...

Moon - My main trainer throughout the games and rival to my bff's OC, "Black" (aka Blaz Wado). The names between them are cute unintentionally cuz a out moon is an eclipse! That aside, Moon is a trainer that later became a Pokemon researcher, mainly just because I caught so many Pokemon and thought it'd be more interesting than him just being a Pokemon battler. He's got pink hair for some reason, which is funny cuz he also got a beard later as a professor. cotton candy beard,., As you could guess, he uses both of my two favorite Pokemon on his battle team.

Moon's full battle team is... If I recall correctly... Golisopod, Delphox, Whimsicott, Krookodile, Skarmory, and Milotic.

Grim - Hex Maniac hailing from the "Grey" or "Ghost" Kanto region, based off that one rom hack I played! Basically, it's just Kanto but waaay worse and every wild Pokemon has evolved differently to be Ghost in some way. Her story isn't bad, her dad being a Pokemon Ranger (mainline game kind) that kept them both out of trouble while her mom went out of the region to find a better place to live and score a job, while also going through the legal issues of moving to a different region... Which is exactly what happens! Whole family gets out and lives a better life over in Unova, how nice!

Only reason Grim is so odd is because she was born in such a wild region, and given how the people act there, really only ever talked to her dad. Her mom is a Hex Maniac as you could guess, which mixed with the region being filled with Ghosts, definitely made her even stranger... She has good intentions though, trying to help people and pokemon like her dad does, she just has a god awful filter when it comes to anything social which makes her act and look how she does.

Also, as a neat little fact, Jerry actually belongs to Grim's mom, he was gifted to Grim while she was away to basically watch over with Grim's dad to make sure she stayed safe.

Grim has 2 battle teams technically, but I'll only tell you the one that uses normal Pokemon since I doubt many of you know about any of the Pokemon seen in Ghost Grey. Her normalish team is... Golurk, Staraptor, Rotom-Wash, Dhelmise, Mimikyu (and sometimes Jerry, the Haunter)... Yes, I know Staraptor isn't a ghost type, but I used one in Ghost Grey where it IS a ghost type... Plus, it's got an edgy enough design where I think it can fit.

The next 4 OCs are actually an Elite Four! See, my awesome bff made Black a Champion Trainer, so I thought it'd make sense for Black to have an Elite Four of his own... As Black's entire concept was kind of just, "He's the strongest Pokemon Trainer ever." Silly, I know, but Moon and Black were made when we were much younger.

If you're wondering... Black's battle team is made up of... Arcanine (Hisui), Annihilape, Pawmot, Dondozo, Garchomp, and Salamence. These teams, as you could guess, have evolved over time! One rule of thumb however was to avoid using any Legendary Pokemon in Black's team! We wanted his team to be using Pokemon you could logically obtain with some effort. Plus, he has a neat gimmick of being hyper offensive, but having several Pokemon with 4x weaknesses.

Now... For his Elite Four...

(These descriptions were written awhile ago, I dunno how well they hold up, bare with me .,., heh)

Azami Yasui is the First of the Elite Four from the Hoenn region. She is a photographer who loves capturing key moments in a fight. Azami usually travels around since the Elite Four she's a part of can only be challenged on certain days. She is a generally energetic person, cheerful, and a bit overwhelming at times. Azami uses Fire-type Pokemon.

Team is... Camerupt, Flareon, Skeledirge, Talonflame, Incineroar, Ceruledge.

(The team doesn't really have a core strategy beyond hyper offense, aiming to Tailwind with Talonflame so they can blitz... With a few extra fallbacks like Camerupt with Yawn or immediate threats like Ceruledge with Swords Dance Weak Armor Focus Sash to kill people without priority or multi-hits.)

Claures Lefevre is the Second of the Elite Four from the Unova region. They are an explorer who travels the unknown parts of the world. Mostly silent, Claures gets quite talkative when a subject they're interested in is being discussed. Despite being quiet, Claures is bold and strategic all the same. They use Fairy-type Pokemon.

Team is... Clefairy, Tinkaton, Hatterene, Carbink, Grimmsnarl, Primarina.

(The team is trickroom/hazard focused in a doubles format, most of the team built up of slow tanky Pokemon that use trickroom to bypass it and get off their strong attacks and whatnot... The usual strategy of trickroom... I think.)

Naiden Aster is the Third of the Elite Four from the Sinnoh region. He is a battle tower trainer and now visits other battle towers across the regions to see what they're like. Naiden is calm and collected usually, and he finds joy in fighting strong trainers. However, he can get overly annoyed at trainers with poor strategy. He uses Water-type Pokemon.

Team is... Samurott (Hisui), Gyarados, Basculegion, Pelipper, Alomomola, Greninja.

(The team uses weather with Pelipper to switch in and out and constantly apply pressure with Rain to boost all the other Pokemon into doing good damage... With Alomomola to Wish-Pass to keep said Pelipper alive for most of the patch so that the pivots don't fall flat.)

Karma Blackwell is the Fourth of the Elite Four who doubles as Black's attendant from the Kanto region. He is usually at Black's side and assists with the responsibilities of a Pokemon Champion. Karma is level-headed but a bit sarcastic and mean. Despite everything, Karma is one of the few who caught a Legendary Pokemon. He uses fighting-type Pokemon.

Team is... Regigigas, Hawlucha, Scrafty, Conkeldurr, Kommo-o, Tauros (Paldea - Blaze)

(If you're wondering, he has a Regigigas because he had a funny strategy where he uses Tera to make it a Fighting Type, and he faces you in a Double Battle, so Hawlucha uses Entrainment on Regigigas to give it Unburden. Then Regigigas uses a Normal Gem Body Slam to double its Speed and Attack in a single turn, with Unburden doubling its Speed again! If not Regi, I probably would've used Slaking instead.)

Okay... Okay... I think I've yapped enough.

Your turn! Say something too, pretty please!
