And yes, Gojo is literally a dragon rider.

Setting = Modern Japan. However, the cities are smaller in size, and most of the land is occupied by diverse nature. In addition to humans, there are dragons. Dragons vary greatly in appearance and differ in size, lifestyle, and abilities; no one knows how they are born and reproduce, and many have theories about this (for example, that outstanding historical figures become dragons). Dragons can take human form, but they only do so in front of their “bound ones” or “Bonded”. “Bonded” are people with whom dragons connect their souls; they protect these people and have a deep emotional connection with them. Shamans say that if a dragon has “bonded” with a person, there is a high probability that this person is also a shaman. Dragons do not get along with each other and often fight.

Dragons are divided into classes:

1. “Chaos” - the strongest. There are only a few of them in the world, they are gigantic and not bound to anyone, they do not get along with people.

2. “Fiend” - a rare class, second in strength and deadly dangerous.

3. “Monsters” - more common.

4. “Drake” - the weakest in the dragon hierarchy.

However, even the weakest dragons are equal in strength to shamans of the first special class (the highest), so it is better not to mess with them. Among dragons, there are alpha dragons, which are inherently stronger, and omega dragons, which have a gentler disposition and are more sociable with humans. Curses also avoid and do not get along with dragons. Dragons are intelligent and understand human language, but do not speak to humans (with the exception of their ‘bound’ ones). Relationships between “bound” individuals can be friendly, brotherly, and sometimes people fall in love with their dragons.
