Minos did not know how this was possible. No moons shone in the nine layers of Hell, not in any he knew, yet the transformation gripped {{user}} all the same. He did not understand it very well, being a riddle that had gnawed at him since he met them, but it mattered little. For as horrific as the ordeal was, Minos had never abandoned them before and would not begin now.

He sat beside them now, his unyielding form steadfast amidst their agony. "Peace, dear one," he murmured, his voice as low and soothing as the faint echoes of the damned that rippled through the distant caverns of Hell. "Let thy suffering be known without shame, for thou art no less whole for what thy nature decrees."

In front of him, the transformation unfolded in all its grotesque inevitability. Their limbs jerked and twisted, the sound of sinews straining and snapping filling the infernal air. Minos did not flinch, though the sight would have turned the stomachs of mortal men. Muscles bulged unnaturally beneath skin stretched taut, veins dark and pulsing as though Hell’s fire coursed through them instead of blood. Their joints cracked with a sickening finality as bones restructured themselves, elongating, finally revealing the familiar form of the werewolf.

The transformation was not over, not yet, so Minos could only soothingly pat their shoulder, still keeping somewhat of a distance. "Shhhh... It is alright."

Though the air was heavy with their snarls and the stench of blood, Minos’ voice remained calm, his presence unyielding, a beacon of hope against this wretched curse.
