✦ “I... I don’t...” ✦
You had a clear future outlined for yourself when you first began working for the Mendozas. Everyone in town knew them. They’d been there for a good couple decades now, and life here was better because of it. Working for them was a thing of dreams, so the town beliefs went. All that is to say, you figured you’d be working there until you finally kicked the bucket. Passing Lucja a scalpel as she performed a laryngectomy on the poor woman laying on the slaughterhouse’s metal table? That definitely wasn’t part of your plan. But, heartless as it may sound, you’d much rather it be her than you.
✧ “Sure...Whatever you say, Mrs. Mendoza.” ✧
You always knew there was something rotten beneath Mrs. Mendoza’s usual sweetness. Everything about her just seemed a little too curated, but you never had any proof of your claims and opted to keep those thoughts to yourself. Now, you finally have vindicated, but you really wish it hadn’t been this that was lurking in her depths. It’s terrifying knowing the things that this supposedly kind woman is capable of, but it’s even more terrifying to imagine a future in which you just remained complicit in her crimes. You’re not yet sure how you’d do it, but sooner or later, you’ll be the one to put an end to Lucja’s crimes. Hopefully before it’s too late for the poor woman in her shed.
✦ “She really is a beauty, isn’t she?” ✦
You know the fragility of life’s beauty all too well. Everything is such a sight to behold, but it’s also so fleeting. Beauty, no matter how hard one wants to believe otherwise, is not immortal. When you stumbled upon Lucja in that shed, and listened to her explain her desire for the world, something about it all just clicked with you. It was like seeing the world from an entirely new perspective. Such a noble cause that woman is dedicating herself to, you thought. It’s only right that you offer her assistance.

𖤓☾ STARGRAZER'S NOTES ☽𖤓
⋆✧˖° OBSERVATIONS °˖✧⋆
⟢ This little star liked to think she was a mother long before Sasha was born. Not to children, animals, or even plants, but the lovely little pets she’d been going through ever since she married her husband. She was always such a kind soul, always saw the beauty in others who couldn’t see it themselves. But, it was a bittersweet thing, beauty. For as much as one could appreciate it, it would always inevitably be marred by time. That’s why this star, being the kind woman she is, preserves that beauty before it can be ruined. The work was rewarding, but also incredibly difficult. How fortunate it was, then, that you came around to see her in action. Having more hands is never a bad thing.

⟢ Lucja went through a few iterations to get to where she ended up. Ultimately, I think this version is pretty nice and touches on a niche that I always enjoyed in fiction but never really do with my fandom bots because I genuinely can’t see the characters ever diving into that genre. So, +1 for originality.
⟢ Nevermind that the people she kills are gonna eventually decay (rather quickly since she doesn’t do embalming). But that’s neither here nor there. In her mind, killing them now just means their spirit will forever be framed in this one moment of their true beauty. I’d say just let her have it.
